我养的山蚂蚁都住在它们的塑料城堡里，城堡里有一些软软的蓝色的“土”，它们最喜欢在那挖地道。有一只大蚂蚁站在那些“土”上，指挥着小蚂蚁们。小蚂蚁们按照命令在不同地方挖着，钳嘴不停地动着，像是在说“嗨哟，嗨哟，加把劲！加把劲！”十五分钟后，它们挖出了一个深坑。再过一会儿，它们已经挖了一条短短的地道了！我想：它们可真厉害啊！

它们吃饭的速度很快。我刚把苹果丁放进去，几只小蚂蚁就过来吃了，我还没来得及滴水，它们就把苹果丁吃得无影无踪了。我一把水滴下去，它们就把水吮吸光了。

几天后，一条四通八达的长长的地道出现了。到了晚上，一只非常大的蚂蚁睡在“大厅”里，有些小蚂蚁排着队围住那只大蚂蚁睡。我想：那只大蚂蚁应该就是蚁后吧。还有些小蚂蚁继续挖呀挖。

当蚂蚁们挖完了地道，完成了工作时，就到处散步、嬉戏。有的在地道里散步，从这头出来，又从那头进去；有的嬉戏玩耍，在阁楼里、过道上追逐着、打闹着；还有的像是很生气，遇上一个打一个。如果我晃一下城堡，它们就会吓得惊慌失措，到处乱窜。

山蚂蚁们非常有趣，我只要一看到它们辛勤工作，我就会变得很开心。可惜，现在它们已经不在了。可是，它们在我心里并没有消失，我的眼前时常浮现它们辛勤工作的样子……
